Welcome back to Project Car Hell, where those little carburetor screws always disappear down the intake and all the parts you need are hoarded by bitter curmudgeons in Alaskan survivalist shacks. The Hell Garage Demons have come to the realization that the ugly cars of the early postwar era just don't get enough restoration love these days, and so they've taken a break from their day jobs (boiler-room managers for a major telemarketing firm) in order to scour the List of Craig for a pair of suitably homely machines from the 1946-1954 period. Alfa Romeo Mito TCT (2011) comes to the UK

Alfa Romeo's first twin-cluch gearbox is launching in the Mito - and the Mito TCT is now available in the UK. The MultiAir 1.4 is the launch engine for the TCT twin dry clutch transmission. Typically for Alfa, it's technically interesting: Alfa claims it enhances performance and comfort, gives a sportier feel and more importantly in the current climate, reduces CO2 emissions.

Ford Ranger gets rollover control for 2010

The Ford Ranger pickup will roll into the 2010 model year this summer equipped with the automaker's stability-control system that includes a rollover sensor. The rollover sensor measures the truck's angle of tilt and engages the antilock braking system to help prevent a rollover. Ford uses the technology, which it calls AdvanceTrac with RSC, throughout its vehicle lineup.
